Blackthorn Field Notes is a public website. The goal is to keep this site simple, respectful, and as low-intrusion as practical while still allowing readers to subscribe, contact me, support the work, and share posts.
What This Site Collects Directly
This site does not run user accounts, comments, forums, or private messaging.
If you only read articles, the site does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, or personal information.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand basic site traffic and page activity.
Analytics may show general information such as page views, referrers, device/browser type, approximate location, and traffic patterns. This helps me understand what readers are finding useful and whether the site is working properly.
I do not use analytics to personally identify individual readers.
Email Subscriptions
Email subscriptions are handled through Follow.it.
If you subscribe by email, Follow.it may collect and process your email address so it can deliver new posts to you. Your subscription is managed by Follow.it, not by a custom account system on this site.
Contact Form
The contact form is hosted through Tally.
If you use the contact form, the information you submit may include your name or preferred name, email address, reason for contact, message, and any other information you choose to provide. Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your message.
Submitting the contact form does not guarantee a response.
Support and Donation Links
Support options may link to external services such as Ko-fi, PayPal, or Venmo.
If you use those services, their own privacy policies, payment processing rules, account settings, and data practices apply. This site does not process payments directly.
Books and External Links
Book, reader, publisher, marketplace, social, support, and form links may send you to external websites.
Those websites are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. I cannot control how third-party sites collect or process information once you leave Blackthorn Field Notes.
Cookies and Tracking
This site may use third-party services that set cookies or use similar technologies, including analytics, subscription tools, contact forms, or support platforms.
I try to keep integrations limited and purposeful.
No Sale of Reader Data
I do not sell reader data.
